Just an old fart who thinks Macs should be Macs. Simply the best computers in the world, with the best OS on them.
Apple forgot that. Spreading from phones to tunes like butter over too much bread. Messing up quality. Getting infected with the WIntel virus. Shipping beta software. Losing apple keys on their way...
Guess someone has to remind them: Macs First. OK?
Apple QA / QM departments?

Looking at the “quality” of recent Apple software releases there is only ONE logical conclusion:
The Apple QM/QA departments are either non existent OR, more likely, have been outsourced to Microsoft.
iWeb 08 crashing all over the place and killing the sites you created with its predecessor? Hey, thats just normal “beta testing on paying customers PCs, errr, 'Macs', of course”. Banana products, others call it.
Same for Numbers - cute program, and many of us had hoped to dump Excel for good. But unfortunately: Numbers is highly experimental software and very “creative” when it comes to doing any maths.
Even worse in localized versions. Ooops, mistake: there are no localized versions. Only PARTLY localized versions. But those funny bilingual wolpertingers do even more funny calculations than the English version.
OH, and what did Steve say in his presentation: “most Excel files” could be imported? How many of them did you try, Steve? More than one, that luckily went through? I am still waiting for any reports of success - all MY Excel files get screwed up, Numbers throwing loooong lists of import errors at me...
Folks - its great if your engineers go diving and come back with a new iMovie application (which is really cool btw). No, honest.
But looks like the QA guys did not come back at all.
Or the ones you hired are rats and spies and saboteurs.
Apple, your current quality level sucks.
Sorry. But thats a fact.
You have been playing with Intel, you have been in bed with M$, you have not had your rubber gloves and condoms on, and you have been infected.
The WIntel-virus got hold of you.
Do something about it.
