Macs-first.com originally started as a site for rants. We were concerned about the path Apple has been walking down over the last years. From makers of the best computers to a supplier of telephones and MP3s…
But two things have changed our mind:
Firstly, most likely the all-knowing higher beings in Cupertino won’t give a rat’s ass about what some of their minor fans (yep, we still are) are thinking. This is a billion dollar company, this is business, and while Apple is still polishing that “we are nice and different” image, nothing much is left of that. Gone like the Apple-key on the new keyboards. Yes, we are still pissed off because of that.
Secondly: somehow Apple has managed to become a mainstream-compatible lifestyle-whateversomething selling ringtones and whatnot. But somehow they still ALSO manage to make the best computers and the best operating system and sometimes something really cool and new like the iPad. OK, some quality issues. Errr, well, who has not. Overall they have done an amazing job. And as long as we are happy with the development of new Macs, iMacs, MacBooks, etc. – we will shut up.
Instead, we will turn this site into a hive of information about the cooles Apple-Gadgets and accessories, the best books about Mac hardware and software, the best OS-X-programs, and other products and services related to the stuff from Cupertino.
